Debt on our Doorstep

Join Debt on Our Doorstep!

The Campaign starts here! In September 2004, after 5 years of operating as a network of organisations concerned about financial exclusion, Debt on our Doorstep was constituted in its own right as a national association with its own constitution and membership. Originally established as a campaign group by the Money Advice Association and Church Action on Poverty, the network of support has grown to include Oxfam, the National Housing Federation, Citizens Advice Scotland, and numerous local advice agencies, credit unions, and church and community organisations, as well as thousands of inidividual supporters.

There has been no increase in membership fees for 2008, and details of these can be found on the membership application form available below. Membership is not restricted to organisations in the United Kingdom and we welcome applications to join from agencies engaged in campaigning work from overseas. Individual membership is also offered and the fee for this is set at £10 for the year (free to unwaged).

The Debt on our Doorstep Executive Committee consists of:

  • Damon Gibbons, Centre for Economic & Social Inclusion - Chair
  • Faisel Rahman, Fair Finance - Vice Chair
  • Niall Cooper, Church Action on Poverty - Treasurer
  • Alison Davies, NetCUDA - Executive Officer
  • Lila Bennett, Kirby Unemployed Centre - Executive Officer
  • Helen Jones, Kirby Unemployed Centre - Executive Officer
  • Wyndham Conniff, co-opted member, Dood Wales
