Agencies Call for Responsible Lending

Leading disability charity, Leonard Cheshire, and Age Concern have both recently issued reports highlighting practices of irresponsible lending. Age Concern's report indicates that as many as one in ten pensioners are now having to release equity in their homes in order to make ends meet, and as a result are prey to unscrupulous lenders offering rip off deals.

Meanwhile, Leonard Cheshire are supporting Debt on our Doorstep's call for the Government to include a responsible lending test within the Consumer Credit Act.
